TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Mannes College/International Keyboard Institute & Festival 

Adjunct Faculty. Give private lessons and conduct master classes to students from renowned conservatories and educational institutions, such as Mannes College of Music, Manhattan School of Music, Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Shanghai Conservatory, New England Conservatory, Boston University, L'Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris, and the Hochschule for Music and Theater of Munich. Students range from preparatory to doctoral levels. Perform in faculty concerts. Duties also include assisting in the organization of festival, supervising class assignments, scheduling rehearsal and practice times for faculty and artists, and coordinating events. 

CUNY/Hunter College                                                                                   2006 - Present

Adjunct Assistant Professor. Teach individual piano lessons for Masters level piano performance students. Teach class piano from Elementary to Levels I and II, to music and non-music majors. Introduce the fundamentals and cultivate intermediate musical and theoretical concepts. Develop curricular and course materials, and appropriate grading methods. Teach Introduction to Music History 101 Courses, provide an overview of musical elements, forms, and stylistic periods. Lecture about composers' lives, individual styles, and analyzed representative works. Assisted in the coordination and planning of a department-wide music festival to take place in the Spring of 2011. 

Mannes College                                                                                              2006 - Present

Assistant Teacher.  Serve as Teaching Assistant to Professor Jerome Rose, Mannes College piano faculty.  Substitute for Mr. Rose when he is away on concert tours.  Give lessons to undergraduate and graduate students. Prepare students for competition, performance and recital.     

CUNY/Hunter College                                                                                       2000 - 2002

Teacher of Secondary Piano.  Taught piano lessons to Hunter students as a part of the DMA program.  Provided private instruction to music majors studying piano towards a proficiency exam, non-music and music majors taking secondary piano on an elective basis.

Teach piano, theory, and music appreciation to students ranging from beginner to advanced levels. Mentor and nurture students' artistic growth and musical progress. Coach and prepare students for competitions, entrance exams, concerts, and performances.
